Focusing on meeting the needs of low-income households while giving them the social skills they need to properly reintegrate into our society.
Our Mission
Extended Hands is a charitable organization based in Lachine, Quebec, focused on relieving poverty through two specific programs: food supplementation and a career-counselling program called Dress for Success. Each program concentrates on meeting the needs of low-income households in the area by providing access to food and employment resources.
Many residents of Lachine and the surrounding area need help, and as a result many families lack access to food. To fight poverty, we run a weekly grocery distribution and serve hot meals once a week.
We also offer a six-week career-guidance program that prepares you to search for work and succeed in job interviews.
Scholarship program
Extended Hands offers students financial-aid scholarships to help them continue their education. Find out about the eligibility requirements and how to apply.
