The world we live in has changed so much that modern people are expected to change careers several times over the course of their lives before retiring. As a result, many people in our community may feel motivated either to improve their current skills or to acquire new ones based on the needs of the market. The Extended Hands scholarship program encourages our community to pursue their education, which benefits employment prospects in the 21st century. This is your opportunity to leave a lasting impact on our society. For substantial contributions of more than CAD $10,000, Extended Hands offers to create a scholarship fund under the name of your choice, ensuring that your contribution is properly recognized.
The main objective of the Extended Hands scholarship program is to enable students who have demonstrated exceptional academic results and a tangible influence on the community, but who have limited financial means, to pursue their studies at qualified educational institutions. The funds thus allow these remarkable students to acquire skills in specific fields of study that are important for the progression of their studies and their professional development.
This scholarship program is designed to help members and adherents of the Resurrection Centre and Lachine residents in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
A scholarship is financial assistance for students who wish to pursue their studies. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria, which generally reflect the values and goals of the donor or the founder of the scholarship. Scholarship money does not have to be repaid.
All applications will be reviewed by the scholarship selection committee. Recipients will be notified by email, mail or phone. An awards ceremony will follow.
