Volunteer opportunities!

Your time is a gift to hungry children, the elderly and those who may not have enough to eat. Volunteers produce the equivalent of one meal per minute while helping Extended Hands sort, prepare and pack food. And it's fun!

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is an important part of Canadian life. Many Canadians are generous when it comes to helping others. Each year, 12.5 million volunteers devote their time, energy and skills to improving our communities.

More than twelve million volunteers in Canada is a lot, but a small percentage of Canadians carries most of the load, and most of them are already over seventy. As they retire and become fewer in number, a whole new generation of volunteers must take their place in new and varied ways.

Become a Volunteer

Become a volunteer! A Canadian way of life. Doing charitable work is a bit like being an intern.
