Local businesses come to the aid of Lachine food bank

A Lachine food bank that was forced to scrap its truck after a mishap on westbound Highway 40 last month is giving thanks to three Montreal companies.

Without a vehicle, the organization could no longer pick up donations from its partners or stock its warehouse. "No truck, no food," the team summed up at the time, as it launched an appeal to the public for help.

Thanks to the generosity of these companies, deliveries have resumed and hundreds of families continue to be supported every week.
