Founder of Lachine group honoured alongside Subban

It's a class photo Glynis Burton-Jenkins won't soon forget: alongside Governor General David Johnston, P.K. Subban, and 11 other area residents, all decorated for their dedication to volunteerism and community involvement.

The recognition highlights years of hard work serving the most vulnerable in Lachine. For the founder of Extended Hands, the honour belongs to the entire team of volunteers.

"This award belongs to our community," she said with emotion.
